Celebrate Recovery

Mondays 6:30 PM

8404 Phyllis Pl, San Diego, CA 92123

You don't have to have it figured out to walk through that door.

Any hurt. Any habit. Any hang-up.

Celebrate Recovery is a Christ-centered recovery ministry for anyone carrying something heavy — addiction, grief, anxiety, codependency, anger, a relationship that's falling apart, or something you've never said out loud. You don't have to have a label for it. You just have to be willing to show up.

What's shared in the room stays in the room. That's not a suggestion — it's the whole point. Come as you are, sit in the back if you want to, and know that nobody will put you on the spot.

What to Expect

This is City View, right where Celebrate Recovery meets every Monday night.

You never have to share.

You can sit in the back, listen, and leave. Nobody will put you on the spot, ever.

It's not just for addiction.

Grief, anxiety, codependency, anger, broken relationships — any hurt, habit, or hang-up is welcome here.

It's normal people.

Not a scary "come get fixed" event. Just people who understand what you're going through.

Confidential, on purpose.

What's shared in the group stays in the group. Always.

You'll see this path — go up this path. Keep the gazebo on your right.

Go up the steps.

Turn right at the top of the steps — the building will be on your left.

Turn right and head to the door.

Turn left through the door.

12 Steps & 8 Principles

A proven path, walked one Monday at a time — right here in this room.

Celebrate Recovery walks through the same 12 Steps used in recovery programs everywhere, grounded in 8 Biblical principles and the Beatitudes. It's a proven, structured path — not a self-help fad — used by millions of people to work through real hurt, real habits, and real hang-ups, with Jesus Christ at the center of it.

You don't need to know the steps to come. You just need to be willing to take the first one: showing up.

Questions People Ask Before Their First Monday

Is this just for people struggling with addiction?

No. Celebrate Recovery is for any hurt, habit, or hang-up — grief, anxiety, codependency, anger, broken relationships, and more. If you're carrying something heavy, this is for you.

Do I have to share or talk in front of people?

Never. You're welcome to sit, listen, and leave without saying a word. Nobody will call on you or put you on the spot.

Do I have to be a member of City View Church, or even a Christian?

No. You're welcome exactly as you are, wherever you're starting from.

What actually happens at a meeting?

The night includes worship, a short teaching, and small groups where people share as much or as little as they're comfortable with. It's normal people, not a scary event.

Is it confidential?

Yes, on purpose. What's shared in the group stays in the group — that rule is at the center of how Celebrate Recovery works.
